Cape Lookout Lighthouse Tour

Join one of our knowledgeable captains on an adventure to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse located on South Core Banks.

Leaving from Beaufort, they will take you around the local islands giving interesting facts along the way about where you are and what you might see. Cruising down the shore of Shackleford Banks, you might catch a glimpse of the wild banker ponies that inhabit the island.

The trip from Beaufort to the dock at Cape Lookout is approximately 30 minutes.

Once you have reached your destination, you and your new "mates" will disembark for one (1) hour. At the landing you will find restroom facilities and the visitor's center. At the base of the lighthouse sits the assistant keeper's quarters, where the museum showcases highlights of the surrounding area.

There is also a boardwalk which will lead you from the sound side of the island to the ocean side.

After an hour, we load everyone back into the boat and head back to Beaufort. Dolphins frequent these waterways, as do a variety of sea turtles, so keep a sharp eye on the lookout!
